Backcountry Support Systems was founded in 2001 by Les and Denise Gemar, and bought in March 2016 by Anna and Jess Frost. Jess has worked for the company since 2008, and Anna since 2012. Backcountry Support Systems is a family owned business providing essential ground support for government agencies as well as private industry. We operate our own equipment and strive to maintain a safe, clean and friendly atmosphere and have pride in ownership.

Our mobile fleet consists of 2 shower units. The original purchased in March 2016 and a second unit acquired in September 2017. One unit consists of 15 showers (9 men and 6 women) with private dressing areas, a handwash station of 10 sinks, 1,535 gallon potable water vehicle, 2,635 gallon potable water storage and 2,675 gallon gray water storage. The other unit consists of 18 showers (12 men and 6 women) with private dressing areas, a handwash station of 12 sinks, 3,000 gallon potable water vehicle, 1,550 gallon potable water storage and 3,000 gallon gray water storage. Backcountry Support Systems has been in business since 2001 and has held contracts with the USDA-Forest Service since 2004. Backcountry Support Systems is based out of Carter, MT and holds designated dispatch points in Wenatchee, WA and Bend, OR.
