In 1993 Grayback Forestry formed an emergency service division specializing in emergency services and mobile showers. In 2002 Western Emergency Services, LLC was formed; novation of the National Contract from Grayback to Western Emergency Services completed in 2003. In 2008 Grayback purchased 50% interest in Western Emergency Services. Grayback has been incorporated in Oregon since 1979. Company offices/shops in Merlin, White City, Canyon City, La Grande OR, and Missoula MT. Founding member of the National Wildfire Suppression Association.
